This International business is growing at a phenomenal rate, and therefore the volume of accounts and VAT transactional work has also increased.  We therefore need to recruit an experienced, hands on, technical VAT Accountant / Könyvelő  with a thorough understanding of the day to day complexities in this area of the busy finance team.

Responsibilities of the VAT Accountant / Könyvelő :

• Preparation & submission of all relevant VAT documents for European sales
• Intrasts returns & monthly registrations
• Work closely with Accounts Receiveble, Accounts Payable to comply on relevant needs
• Review VAT codings for import customs invoices
• Contribute to monthly closing and general accounting duties when required
• Assist on VAT processes and discuss improvements and changes
• Act as the key VAT contact for tax questions and assist internal & external auditors
• Provide relevant data and submit returns for European branches
• Code VAT for imports. Liase with forwarding customer invoices contacts
• Rencile VAT Accounts on a monthly basis
• Clear receivable and payable balances
• Prepare the VAT cash forecasts
• Report to the VAT Team Manager

The Profile of the Successful VAT Accountant / Könyvelő: 

• An experienced VAT expert
• Good language skills. Fluent English and ideally German or French
• Previous use of various software systems including SAP
