Technical Accountant – ACA/ACCA Qualified

Overview:

Following our client’s worldwide growth and expansion, we are recruiting for an ACA or ACCA qualified Accountant to cover the UK and international reporting. Our client is a global high-tech, next-generation R&D organisation expanding throughout Europe and hence many challenges and projects to progress.

Responsibilities Include:

• Reporting to the UK Financial Controller
• Creating regulatory reports in line with statutory requirements in the UK
• Gathering and preparing the trial balance and financial statements
• Playing a critical role in audit reporting: liaising with external auditors during quarterly and year-end audits
• Ensuring adherence to all financial controls, including SOX compliance, across the business
• Updating finance policies and internal controls documents
• Reviewing the impact of the changes in accounting standards
• Assist in the preparation of tax returns and the annual tax process
• Provide support in US reporting whilst collaborating with the rest of the international business units

Candidate Requirements:

• Accounting / Finance background – ACA or ACCA qualification
• Previous public practice experience especially with audits
• Confidence in the preparation of statutory financial reports in line with the regulations
• At least 2-5 years of experience in practice/ transferable skills for financial reporting
• SOX and US GAAP knowledge would constitute added value
• Strong IT knowledge (Excel and ERP’s)
• Team player with a great attitude and excellent communication skills
• Ready to work in a fast-moving environment
