Senior EMEA Accountant South of France, Toulouse (Spanish Speaking)

Job Purpose
Working on the Spanish Entity and other assigned EU entities – Support the Senior Accounting Manager with:
- Month End, Quarter End and Year End tasks for one or more specific entities
- Support US GAAP reporting and SOX compliance
- Support the monthly close in accordance with US GAAP
- Ensuring proper maintenance of statutory financials.
- Help with continuous process Improvement
- Journal Entries preparation
- Reconciliations of accounts
- Prepare flux analysis and comment on variances
- Support the external audit provider with the preparation of Statutory Accounts
- Handling Internal (SOX) and External Audits
- Responsible for grant accounting
- Handling payroll booking
Support global projects including:
- Implementation of Cash pooling implementation
- Procurement platform deployment
- Contract Management processes
- US GAAP revenue recognition
- Pan-European VAT compliance
Candidate profile:
- Accounting finance / economics graduate
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting
- Audit firm experience a plus
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- SAP experience a plus
- Microsoft Excel advanced user a plus
- Knowledge of US GAAP is a plus
- Accuracy – Attention to Detail
- Teamwork – Good communication skills
- Ability to work in a diverse International environment
