Senior AML Compliance Officer

Introduction

Our client is a leading global alternative investment manager. The Luxembourg office manages the group investment portfolios for equity, real estate and infrastructure.

 

Job purpose/role

We are searching for a Senior Anti-Money-Laundering (AML) Compliance Officer to join this team in Luxembourg on a full-time basis.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Oversight about a portfolio of mainly unregulated Luxembourg investment vehicles in terms of AML/KYC (in the areas of Private Equity, Real Estate, Infrastructure and Renewables)
  • Establish a risk-based AML/KYC framework for the obliged entities within the Luxembourg Draft, maintain and regularly update all AML/KYC related policies and documents in respect of Luxembourg AML regulation
  • First point of contact for shareholders, asset managers and delegates in relation to AML/KYC
  • Handle the full process of information gathering for AML/KYC purposes; on the asset side in coordination with the asset managers 
  • Assess AML/KYC documentation and conduct high-quality initial and ongoing due diligence reviews on investors, assets and delegates
  • Report AML/KYC findings on a regular and ad hoc basis to the responsible board of each obliged entity
  • Establish and assure regular AML reporting to group internal and external parties 
  • Identify, analyse and report suspicious activities (GO AML)
  • Act as AML Officer for the obliged entities
  • Training of other team members and transparent transfer of knowledge
  • General support in compliance-related tasks of Allianz LuxCos
  • Oversight of a junior team member supporting the AML/Compliance function for the LuxCos in terms of document collection, analysis, screening and documentation obligations

 

Key requirements/skills/experience

 

  • University Degree in Law/Finance or similar
  • 3-5 years of experience in Luxembourg in a similar position, 
  • Excellent knowledge of Luxembourg AML regulations and processes as well as related obligations 
  • Experience with real estate / infrastructure / PE / renewables
  • Fluency in English; other languages, esp. German and French would be an asset
  • Ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment under tight deadlines
  • Sound organizational skills and attention to details
  • Work in a team, that enjoys each other’s company and support one another
