Position: SALES DIRECTOR TO PROGRESS TO GM – USA & CANADA

Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Salary: Great Package including Base, Commission and Benefits

Introduction:

Our client is a global mechanical engineering group with unique and world leading product portfolio within their sector. They have operations across 5 continents and achieved double digit growth for 10 years running.

We are searching for an experienced Sales Manager to cover USA and Canada reporting to the General Manager as well as dotted lines to the global HQ in Europe.

This position will suit an ambitious Sales Manager as the plan is to work alongside the GM with view to taking over in approx 4 years

Responsibilities Include:

  • Reporting to and working closely with the GM of North America
  • Work with the GM to define and drive the Sales and Marketing plan for the product portfolio
  • Responsible to retain and grow existing business as well as develop new accounts across North America
  • Build and manage relationships with clients (existing and new)
  • Regular travel across North America as required to meet clients, develop relationships and delivering outstanding customer service
  • Manage Sales reporting / forecasts etc
  • Progress within the group, taking more and more responsibility from the GM

Candidate Profile:

  • Strong Sales and Marketing experience covering B2B
  • Proven track record of Sales Management in either Mechanical, Engineering or Technical products
  • Experience in defining Sales and Marketing plans and executing
  • Target orientated and self motivated person
  • Great enthusiasm and attitude with professional working standards
  • Excellent communicator, presenter and negotiator
  • Happy to travel across North America as required for client meetings, conferences, trade shows etc as well as occasional international travel (Europe) for HQ meetings / training etc (Total travel can be as much as 75%)
  • Good IT knowledge – MS Office
  • Education or background in a Technical, Mechanical or Business subject an advantage
