Position: HR Manager / Business Partner – Switzerland

Location: Zurich Region

 

Overview:

Our client is a leading global pharmaceutical group with 20,000 + staff worldwide and the Swiss office based near Zurich. They are world leaders in their therapeutic area and undergoing dynamic global growth. Following a promotion we are searching for a HR Manager / Business Partner for the Swiss office reporting to the General Manager as well as the EMEA HR Head.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Strong HR leader to drive HR across the Swiss office including change and transformation
  • Responsible as a HR Business Partner in advising / coaching Senior Management – ability to push back when required
  • Leading a small local team as well as working closely with HR Leaders across EMEA and globally
  • Providing the business units with professional HR advice and support both strategic and  operational
  • Responsible for managing all HR functions for Switzerland including strategy, talent management, OD, recruitment, performance reviews, transfers, comp & bens, budgets, employee relations, terminations…
  • To drive projects impacting the business areas such as Talent management, Performance reviews and OD whilst managing Stakeholders effectively
  • Reporting to the GM for Switzerland as well as SVP of EMEA HR with great potential to develop and progress
  • Strategic responsibilities include performance management process, working closely with senior management, defining OD along with GAP analysis to help build confidence in management aligned to the business areas
  • Work closely with the global HR teams (EMEA, US and ASIA) to ensure the delivery of world class HR

 

Candidate Requirements:

  • Educated to degree standard or equivalent, Masters degree or professional qualification a great advantage
  • At least 6 – 10 years HR experience in an international and dynamic environment
  • Experience working with Swiss labor law
  • Excellent business partnering skills and ability to work with senior management and business units – coaching, advising and becoming a trusted advisor
  • Experience leading a small HR team  
  • Experience working in a truly international environment
  • Project management skills in a dynamic change environment
  • Outstanding communication skills – positive influencing skills
  • Fluent English and German essential – French an advantage
  • Great personality and sense of fun!
