Position:        Financial Accountant

Location:        Basel

Salary:            95,000- 100,000 CHF & Package. Great Prospects

Overview:

This is an opportune time to move to a dynamic, growing International company who has recently been expanding and spending money on new branding to promote their business

This is a great position for and experienced candidate who has maybe trained with a Big 4 Accountancy firm and who has since gained 3-5 years hands on commercial experience of month end closing, VAT and group Consolidations. This will suit someone with less than 10 years’ experience who is ready to manage a small team of financial operational accountants Anyone too experienced would not be right for this position

Responsibilities include:

• Managing and reporting on the day to day financial accounts & ledgers
• Reporting the figures of the company on time to the Controller & Management
• Ensure main policies are adhered to, especially in areas of Financial Control
• Reconciling supplier data with purchases and sales.
• Quarterly VAT Returns
• Intercompany reconciliations and consolidate other branch accounts
• Support Management in financial reports and queries
• Assist in systems development especially in SAP and Excel spreadsheets
• Analyse sales figures and report on trends and profit margins
• Review and comment on actual monthly figures and sales. Analyse the performance levels
• Advise on up and coming finance plans and reports
• Issue invoices on a timely basis
• Calculate the accruals on a monthly basis and compare to revenues and expenses
• Assist in month end closing and reports
• Assist the Controller on Budgets and Forecasts
• Be a key figure for the financial reporting of the Head office for Europe
• Manage a small team of 2 accounts assistants
• Provide regular group cash forecasting data

Requirements:

• Educated to at least degree level in a relevant subject
• Have c 3-5 years + relevant hands on Financial Accounting experience
• Have a broad knowledge in all areas of Finance and Controlling using SAP & Excel
• Fluent in German & English- speech and writing
