Introduction:

FMCG businesses must always keep on top of their cashflow and stock levels across all areas of the supply chain

As our client is manufacturing in several countries and supplying World Wide. They are now recruiting a commercially astute Finance specialist who has come from a manufacturing environment and is fully conversant with all areas of manufacturing costings, complex inventory management, goods in progress calculations

You will have a proven understanding of all areas of Standard Costings, material and labour costings, actuals versus budgets, and long term Financial Planning & Analysis tools

The successful candidate can be based in any of the countries above, but will have come from an International Manufacturing background and be confident in reporting results and estimates to an International Board of Directors

Responsibilities:

• Reporting of ongoing costings and stock control levels across Europe
• Work closely with other key finance team members on Global reports
• Manage cost of goods bought and sold and produce Standard & Variable cost reports
• Review the every changing inventory for stock across multiple sites and countries
• Be the key partner of the Operational Management teams and top Financial Planners in order to deliver the figures needed to produce accurate results
• Month end closing for reporting on costs of products sold and inventory management
• Regularly review and enhance reporting processes for month end reports. Key data includes calculations for profit in inventory, stock control and reserves and profit Margins
• Work with the FP&A and Operations team on the models for standard costs & variances
• Conduct regular productivity reviews to see comparisons to previous results and budgets
• Review previous years numbrs and discuss budgets and forcast new results and sales
• Put into place new Internal Controls where and when needed. Document operations needs and procedures
• Be the figurehead across Europe for Inventory controls, and financial management
• Report to CFO and work closely with Senior Operational Management

Candidate Profile:

• A qualified Accountant with c 10 years post qualification experience
• You will need to be working in a manufacturing environment with a detailed understanding of Standard Costings, Stock Controls, Work in Progress etc
• Have worked closely with Senior Operations Managers across the business
• Be in regular contact with the Supply Chain team. Understand their business needs and how important the Logistics and distribution of product Internationally is to the company
• Fluent English and you are likely to be fluent in French or German as well
• Key SAP user with an emphasis on FI-CO, MM, SD, WM PP modules
