Introduction:

Our client is hugely successful FMCG manufacturing business. They have operations in several countries and are supplying their in demand products World Wide. Their growth levels are amazing and the business has huge potential to move to further levels of success

They are now recruiting top level Financial Reporting Director who will report directly to the VP of World Wide FP&A on all Financial, compliance & commercial areas of the accounts. You will have responsibility for internal and external compliance and financial controls across the European Business

You will manage a smart and dynamic team which includes key managers for financial reports and internal controls

The successful candidate can be based in any of the countries above, and will be used to a fast paced environment with deadlines to be met in a successful, growing business

Responsibilities:

• Manage the European Financial reports under IFRS and comply with conduct authorities
• Run the team for the completion of Consolidated Accounts across Europe as well as MD&A and required reports
• Oversee all compliance issues and requirements across Europe. Ensure regulatory requirenents are in place and report on ongoing accounting & regulatory needs
• Produce financial reports requirements and compliance issues when required
• Work as part of the Mergers & Acquisition team in order to ensure all due diligence is performed correctly and disclosure needs are highlighted
• After any acquisitions are completed you need to assist with integration requirements
• Visit company sites to ensure the Financial Reporting functions in all regions are correct
• Constantly run Risk Controls and Analysis and ensure data is integrated correctly and legally, and that all documentation and support is compliant and correct
• Finalise the Internal Reports on the financial status across the business for the senior Executives and management teams
• Monitor the financial reports every month and quarter in order to analysis actual results against budgets, forecasts
• Work with your team to produce the financial forcasts across Europe
• Advise and liaise closely with the CFO and Executive Management at Board level on Financial Controls in place and what is needed, financial reports, compliance issues and changes and new company policies to be instituted
• From an Audit perspective you will be a key point of contact for both internal and external auditors across Europe
• Manage the Internal Controls team so any deficiences in this area are clarified and changed accordingly. Inform the external auditors of relevant changes
• You will be in close contact with the Tax team and external tax specialists on European Tax changes. This will cover key areas such as Transfer pricing and direct / indirect tax
• As an experienced manager you will lead a team of senior managers & understand their duties and needs
• You will develop and train them to be more effective and assist you closely and promote

Candidate Profile:

• A qualified Accountant with c 15 years post qualification experience
• Currently leading a European Financial Reporting team which will also cover areas such as Company Tax specialists and Internal controls and reporting areas
• You will be financially very astute and have proven management experience
• Still very much a hands on leader able to support the CFO across the European business
• Proven record of achievement in ideally manufacturing of FMCG products
• Great SAP skills and able to assist on financial reporting systems and upgrades
• Hungry for personal and corporate success and growth
