Position:               Senior Key Account Manager – German speaker

Introduction:

Our client is a global life science organisation that are  experiencing rapid growth. They are expanding their products range and services and are highly rated within life science .

In order to strengthen their position on the global markets, we are searching for a Key Account Manager/ Strategic Sales Specialist. This role will be 2-3 office based + home working with travel across Europe!

 

Ideally we are looking for a consultative key account manager, a strategic thinker to bring fresh solutions to existing clients of the business to the table. They will ideally come from life science, biology, molecular biology, pharma background with a flexible working style!

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading and developing customer relationships with pharma clients across European region
  • Responsible for promoting customised biology related solutions and products to existing pharma customers.
  • Develop a multi-channel approach and sales strategies in collaboration with local teams in Europe while getting support from US teams
  • Work closely with internal and external teams regarding market and product insights, trends, data and competitor analysis
  • Reporting directly to the Director of Sales
  • Continuously improving customer experience and communicating customised products specifications to R&D teams
  • Active role in Marketing – working with the marketing team regarding media, sponsorship, publications, marketing material etc

Candidate Profile:

  • Educated to a Master in life science, biology discipline or similar
  • At least 3-5 years’ customer / strategic sales or account management experience
  • Good knowledge of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life-sciences clients
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, ability to engage deciding R&D clients
  • Customer focused personality
  • Fluent English and German required
  • Good track record of developing customer relationships and improving customer experience
  • Ability to work with international teams – marketing, analysis, strategy, medical etc
  • Customer focused personality
