My client manages £200 + billion on behalf of institutional and retail investors, financial institutions and high net worth clients from around the world, invested in a broad range of active strategies across equities, fixed income, multi-asset, alternatives and real estate.
They are looking for a Tax Reporting Lead Specialist Fund Accounting.

Team Overview

The Tax Reporting Lead Specialist- Fund Accounting will report into the Head of Fund Operations

NAV oversight

  • Manage and execute daily operational oversight activities
  •  Ensure the daily NAV release is performed in a timely and efficient manner
  • Coordinate fund events and activities in relation with the oversight activities
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  •  Investigate and resolve validation exceptions and queries


  • Review and validate monthly equalisation calculation from fund administrator
  • Publication of equalisation factors

Tax operations

  • Ensure the deadline of investors and fund tax reporting & filing are met
  • Coordination, review and validation of Outsourced Investors tax reporting
  • Provide support and quality assistance in the decision making process
  • Follow up of tax developments and new tax regimes implementation
  • Ensure applicable operational tax regimes are up-to-date
  • Ensure market filing and documentation requirements are satisfied
  • Assess need and opportunity to file tax reclaim, or to litigate adverse Tax Authorities’ decision if appropriate.

Essential Skills

Minimum 5 years documented professional experience in investment fund/investments related company or Big4 with exposure to Investors taxation,

  • Good understanding of the investment fund industry
  • Ability to communicate efficiently and professionally with both internal and external stakeholders including senior management
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills, supporting the identification of issues and the suggestion of appropriate solutions
  • Fluency in English, both orally and written
  • Excellent command of Excel and other standard IT tools
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
