I am looking for an experienced New Markets Manager who, to join my clients SME team.

As a New Markets Manager you will be responsible for the opening of new markets for our business lending operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the new market expansion efforts of the Business across multiple countries in the Europe and APAC regions
  • Conduct market research studies to determine the potential of new markets
  • Work with the legal department to assess the legal and regulatory environment of target countries
  • Identify local credit data providers and work with our Risk team to select the best mix of data to use for underwriting decisions
  • Convert local business needs into clear, executable IT requirements
  • Negotiate deals with local service providers
  • Drive new country launches forward on schedule while creatively overcoming the obstacles that inevitably come up
  • Identify local partnerships possibilities and help execute plans to develop those partnerships

Expected skills and experience:

  • Degree in Business Administration/Financial Management/Economics/Marketing or similar degree to understand complex and multi level business lending dynamics
  • 8 + years of working experience in business lending area
  • Experience and proven track record on opening new countries/markets for business.
  • Strong understanding of business processes and how these intertwine with IT
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and entrepreneur mindset
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, motivated and take initiative
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills – Complex problem-solving skills
  • Strong personality with the ability to handle stress and various tasks at the same time
  • Good written, oral and reading communication skills with English – company’s working language is English
  • Ability to travel regularly

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in fintech or financial services
  • Experience creating IT requirements for business processes
  • Business analyst background is a plus
  • International cross-border business experience
  • Project management experience
