Introduction:
Our client, a market leading FMCG company, is looking to expand its local VAT / Tax department by recruiting a VAT Controller for the EU and Swiss markets. This position will be a key member of the finance and tax team and a great opportunity to become a major part of this dynamic international organisation.
Job Description:
• Manage the VAT process and reporting for EU and Swiss entities / registrations
• Responsible to co-ordinate and manage 3rd party (consultants) and other outsourced departments
• Manage fiscal representatives and agents regarding VAT registrations
• Implementation and management of VAT compliance ensuring accuracy of business activities
• Provide assistance with all export activities from a VAT perspective and provide evidence required for VAT audits in all VAT registered countries
• Managing the VAT aspects of GL accounts
Candidate Profile:
• Educated to degree level (or similar experience) in a finance, accounting or business related subject
• At least 3 years finance experience in an international environment
• Significant Tax (ideally VAT) experience especially with regard to international companies and many cross border transactions
• Awareness of accountancy methods and audit techniques
• Fluent in English essential – additional German and French skills an advantage
• Excellent IT knowledge – Microsoft Office and SAP
• You must be a Swiss or EU national or hold a Swiss work permit
