Overview:
Following our client’s huge worldwide growth and expansion we are recruiting for a Senior Accountant EMEA region. Our client is a US multinational that is expanding heavily throughout Europe and hence this position will have many challenges and projects that will help you progress rapidly.
Responsibilities Include:
• Reporting to the Corporate Financial Controller
• Responsible for the preparation of monthly close entries for multiple General Ledgers
• Prepare Statutory Accounts, Tax Returns and update Tax Stream
• Cash Management for group companies as well as coordinate, organize and prepare internal / external cash, debt and equity transactions
• Provide audit support and point of contact for external auditors during quarterly and year end audits
• Prepare monthly bank and account analysis resolving any reconciling items
• Administer Stock Option and Restricted Stock Payments monthly
• Record and reconcile Treasury Share Portfolio
• Reconcile Inter-Company Accounts
• Prepare Inter-Company billing, monthly memo accounts and quarterly SEC schedules
• Prepare monthly legal entity forecasts, review with the Controller and FP&A Manager and provide monthly analysis report of actual vs forecast and budget
• Reconcile and analyze key balance sheet and income statement accounts adhering to company policy
• Review transactions for compliance with GAAP, SOX and Company policy
• Key member of Finance Projects to improve process, systems….
Candidate Requirements:
• University degree or equivalent in Accounting / Finance – Fully qualified Accountant (CPA, Swiss, ACCA…) an advantage
• At least 7 years Accounting experience including 4-5 years General Ledger experience
• US GAAP experience is a must and FAS 109 an advantage
• Strong IT knowledge (Excel and Oracle)
• Fluent in English essential, German an advantage
• Familiar with Sarbanes Oxley compliance
• Team player with excellent communication skills
• Ready to work in a fast moving challenging environment
• Excellent Sense of humour required!
