We are currently looking for a Financial Controller to join our multinational client in the Zurich region. This is an outstanding opportunity to become a major part of this dynamic organisation.

Responsibilities:

• Together with EMEA offices provide comprehensive financial control and services to the group

• Responsible for leading a small team of Senior Accountants / Assistant controllers

• Responsible for managing intellectual property administration

• Monthly review and approval of US GAAP financials for managed entities

• Monthly review and approval of all journal entries for all entities

• Manage inter-company variance process

• Manage Derivative Accounting & full FX analysis

• Monthly review and approval of balance sheet reconciliations

• Manage Tax Stream process for all Swiss entities under FAS109

• Prepare and / or review statutory statements & Tax returns for all Swiss entities

• Point of contact with internal and external auditors and regulatory bodies

• Manage Sarbanes Oxley compliance process

• Oversee Swiss Cash management and pool

• Resolution of accounting and finance issues, maintaining proper internal control process and liaison with the US Finance Team

• Manager Finance related projects – ERP systems etc

Candidate Requirements:

• At least 10 years progressive experience in Finance / Accountancy including at least 5 years management

• Proactive person with a solid general accounting background

• Ability to complete numerous and complicated tasks accurately with deadlines and at the same time managing change

• University degree in Finance / Business – professional accounting qualification an advantage

• Experience in a similar position within an international company and environment

• Good knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS

• Experience in Derivatives / FX, VAT, FAS109, Swiss Statutory are preferable

• Good IT knowledge – Excel and Oracle ERP

• Ability to drive the business, improve processes both within the finance area for the company as a whole

• Fluent in English essential – German and French an advantage

• Excellent communication, leadership and team working skills

• Swiss or EU nationals / permit holders only

• The ideal candidate would be a modern qualified / experienced finance executive with a solid track record with a large US multinational
