Overview:
Following our client’s huge worldwide growth and expansion we are recruiting for a Financial Accountant to cover the EMEA region. Our client is a US multinational that is expanding heavily throughout Europe and hence this position will have many challenges and projects that will help you progress rapidly.
Responsibilities Include:
• Reporting to the Corporate Financial Controller
• Preparation of monthly close entries for multiple General Ledgers
• Prepare daily cash and treasury activity transactions and enter journal entries
• Prepare and reconcile Inter-company billing monthly
• Prepare and manage monthly account reconciliations
• Assist with billing of Restricted Stock and Stock Options
• Assist in preparation of Statutory Accounts
• Assist in preparation of Tax Returns and annual tax process
• Provide audit support to external auditors during quarterly and year end audits
• Prepare monthly bank account analysis and resolve reconciling items
• Prepare monthly memo accounts and quarterly SEC schedules
• Maintain SOX documentation
• Work closely with the Financial Controller to support European legal entities with all finance and accounting requirements
• Key member of special projects including system and process implementation
Candidate Requirements:
• University degree or equivalent in Accounting / Finance – Part qualified Accountant (CPA, Swiss, ACCA…) an advantage
• At least 4 years Accounting experience including significant General Ledger
• Swiss GAAP and US GAAP experience
• Strong IT knowledge (Excel and Oracle)
• Fluent in English essential, German an advantage
• Familiar with Sarbanes Oxley compliance
• Team player with excellent communication skills
• Ready to work in a fast moving challenging environment
• Excellent Sense of humour required!
