Introduction:
We are currently searching for a professional CFO for an International Technology group based in the Emirates. This group are a world leader in their field with operations across the region as well as Europe, Asia and the US. They require a strong commercial CFO who is also a business leader / manager to drive the continued expansion in the region and worldwide.
While the Group are relatively young, the management team has significant executive and industry experience and the CFO will compliment this team.
The culture is dynamic, fast paced and entrepreneurial and this is a great opportunity to join the group at an early stage.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible to initially make a rapid appraisal of the existing situation in the region and develop and deploy plans regarding strengthening, training, recruiting in key areas
• Work closely with the Group CFO in US and other CFO’s / VP Finance worldwide to ensure the strategic plan is met / exceeded
• Work closely with the UAE CEO / General Manager to instil operational excellence across the organization and for creating highly profitable business units focused on superior results
• Responsible for hands on leadership of all finance and accounting functions from payables to bank relationships
• Develop the financial strategic direction of the group and oversee the implementation
• Demonstrate exceptional business acumen and ensure resources, processes and personnel are in place to support business growth and take advantage of business development opportunities
• Recruit and build a first class finance team within the optimal organisational structure
• Heading all internal control, policies, processes and standards
Candidate Requirements:
• At least 12 - 15 years progressive experience in Finance and at least 3 years as a professional CFO
• High level of education / degree – CPA (or equivalent) as well as MBA preferred
• Experience working in an entrepreneurial, dynamic and high growth environment
• Great understanding of project management and delivering on long term high value projects
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
• Focused, energetic leader with a proven track record of managing large teams through change
• Experience in successfully leading a start up through to a mature and highly successful organization
• High level of business acumen with the ability to spot opportunities and work closely with the CEO to align the company to succeed
